When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We use paypal.com for payment processing and data you provide for the payment is part of the paypal.com terms of use and privacy policy since the processing happens on paypal servers and not ours.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

When you purchase an item from a shop that is hosted on our website, your customer data is provided to the shop owner. Each shop has a provided privacy policy for handling customer data.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment or purchase a product or service, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely or the transaction history for a purchase. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. The transaction history is provided for you to review for your benefit of reviewing what you have purchased and for the shop owner’s benefit to retain documentation of purchases.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Information collected as part of a transaction from a shop purchase is retained and provided to the shop owner or designee.

How we protect your data

Limited personal data is included on your user profile. The website is protected by a firewall that also blocks access based on IP address and limits invalid login attempts. Only vetted individuals can access the server where your personal data is stored.

In the event of a data breach, we will notify users via email, what information was compromised. We will investigate the root cause of the breach and take action to prevent it in the future.

What third parties we receive data from

We receive analytical data from third party platforms such as facebook.com and google.com when we utilize these platforms for advertising. Any additional third-party vendors that we might contract with for advertising in the future will also provide analytical data. The data is anonymized, to not tie the data to individuals. 

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We use standard industry practices to choose where to place advertisements based on demographic data points provided by the third-party entities. Profiles are set up based on the demographics chosen for us. The profile is used to automate advertising. We analyze client data to better understand our current clients and to place advertising. We do not currently automate our analyzing of client data.
